WHAT WE DO
Te Whare Tiaki Rongomātāne is here for all tāne (men) to support them with whatever they are facing.
Immediate response and frontline service for Tāne
Rongomātāne is a drop-in centre for whānau who want support. This may include support with employment, behaviours, legal, violence, homelessness, health, disability or mental health. We have a team of Kaimahi ready to support Tāne whatever the need is.
Tiaki Tāne
Every Monday and Wednesday at 6pm, we open our doors and hold space for ALL TĀNE at our TIAKI TĀNE group. Tāne form all walks of life come together to connect through korero and kai. Tāne awhi each other through encouragement and support, whilst facilitators share tools according to the discussions and wairua of each session.
Counselling
Rongomātāne is situated in the heart of Porirua and is a safe haven for men seeking guidance. We have two spaces where we offer the understanding and support essential for navigating life's challenges. Within this safe environment, Tāne are encouraged to share their thoughts and emotions. Together, we aim foster personal growth and resilience.
